Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The aircraft landed based on established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This incident is not the first time that a US military aircraft ferrying a top government figure has experienced equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to head back to Washington after suffering a mechanical problem.
