Helicopter Spins Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Beach
A helicopter flying above a popular southern California shoreline suddenly commenced twirling wildly, ultimately losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm fronds as beachgoers watched.
Recordings posted on social media depict the aircraft beginning to twirl near the beach then plunging towards the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged among palms and a steps close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
